Need an Official Docket or Record?
Use the court and record type to route a Ritchie County request:
- Circuit or family docket: use WVPASS, then ask the Ritchie County Circuit Clerk for a public document or certified copy
- Magistrate case: search MCRSearch, then contact the Magistrate Court Clerk because documents are not posted in the public search
- Court date or setting: review the court dates process and confirm the current setting with the clerk for that court
- County land, probate, or vital record: contact the Ritchie County Clerk at 115 E. Main Street, Room 201, rather than a court clerk
- Municipal ordinance record: contact the recorder or clerk for the city or town that created the record
